** 1984 & 85 - there had not been meetings, except January & February only. R. Fletcher, L. Neal, B. Sanders and R. Reeser showed up for meetings. We found out that the hall was being rented without insurance. At this time the 64 members were contacted and told we were going to do things right or close the post down. Fletcher, Gill and Sanders each put up $100, other post members donated lesser amounts. We raised over $700 to pay the insurance. It was at this time the post inaugurated the policy of having each vice commander to be in charge of a fund raiser dinner (3 dinners per year) along with hall rental fees in order to be able to meet financial obligations.
